The Sly Fox by nitsch The Sly Fox by nitsch
This guy obviously knew I was trying to take his photo as he stayed behind this annoying twig whilst I snapped this shot before he disappeared into the bushes behind him. I thought about cloning it out but have decided I actually quite like it there after all!

Enjoy! :)

Red Fox - Vulpes vulpes

Red Foxes are typically found in woodland and open country, but their presence in urban areas is increasing.

They are opportunist feeders and eat insects, earthworms, fruit, berries, wild birds, small mammals and scraps left by humans.

Red foxes are primarily active at dusk and night. They are solitary, but they very occasionally group together in a pack.

Foxes forage alone in different parts of their territory, which may extend from 25 to 5,000 acres (10-2,000 hectares), depending on the habitat. Territories are marked by faeces and urine.

I like the twig in the foreground it gives a more natural feel to the picture. The fox's eyes are also amazing just piercing through the picture. Stunning !!

I like it, the twig provides a little bit of foreground to the scene without blocking off any of the main facial features.
