Newborn Grey Seal Pupby ~nitsch

This pup can only have been a few days old at most. It still has it's umbilical cord attached if you look carefully. Taken at Donna Nook, UK.

Grey Seal - Halichoerus grypus, meaning "hooked-nosed sea pig"

The bulls reach 2.5–3.3m long and weigh up to 300kg; the cows are much smaller, typically 1.6–2.0m long and 100–150kg in weight.

Aww I just saw such a little one in my zoo, I shot it when some kind of crow or other ugly bird peeked it. Luckily the big mummy came to the pup and save it.
