Another one for all you cat fans! Meet Milena, she is an Amur Leopard cub. She was born at Marwell Zoo about a year ago and was 7 months old when I took this picture of her. Enjoy!
 Amur Leopard - Panthera pardus orientalis Amur leopards are on the verge of extinction in the wild, with as few as thirty of these beautiful big cats left in their natural habitats in eastern Russia and north-east China. Their habitat was recently threatened by a plan to build an oil pipeline right through their territory. The disturbance caused by this work would certainly have sealed the fate of the species. Happily, following strenuous lobbying by conservation bodies from many countries including Britain, a decision has been made not to locate the pipeline terminal at Perevoznaya on the Amur Bay near Vladivostok. A location has been chosen further north which will cause less damage to the environment and its wildlife. The Amur leopard, a species in danger of extinction, is represented in this shot with a clear emotion of melancoly and beauty, characteristic of the big felines. The young cub's eyes are filled with such a spirit of freedom and elegance, and the artist has captured this moment with great delicacy. A very professional emotive work!" We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
